2020 Borough Cup Championships Played Without Error (VIDEO)

Typically played at MCU Park and Yankee Stadium, this years Borough Cup championships took place at South Shore Little League’s complex.

The coronavirus pandemic was no match for the 6th annual Borough Cup.

It was business as usual for the highly popular youth baseball event. On Sunday September 20,  two of its championship games were played at South Shore Little League’s Joseph Anthony Verdino Jr. Field of Dreams, thanks in large part to Staten Island resident and Borough Cup co-founder Gary Perone.

Pool play took place at such places as Great Kills, New Springville, South Shore and Throgs Neck (Bronx) Little Leagues while the playoffs were held at HBQVB Little League in Queens.

The New York Dreamchasers came away victorious and became the 9-U Borough Cup champions while the EEP Brooklyn Bandits were crowned the 10-U champions.
