Pro Wrestling A Mae Young Classic rematch set for WWE’s Evolution PPV The NXT Women’s Championship will be on the line inside the Nassau Coliseum by Daniel Yanofsky September 28, 2018 Of course, Evolution wouldn’t be the premier WWE all-women’s PPV without some key pieces of the revolution. Kairi Sane will defend her NXT Women’s Title against former champion Shayna Baszler. This may be the final matchup between two of the best NXT has to offer today. Sane and Bazler first fought at the inaugural Mae Young Classic, where the former beat the latter in the finals. On her way to becoming NXT Women’s Champion, Baszler beat Sane in a rematch on an episode of NXT. While Bazsler would be the first one to become a champion in WWE, it was Sane who ended up having the last laugh. In a match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, Sane battled Baszler for the championship. The former beat the champion via roll-up to win the title. This secured her legacy after winning the Mae Young Classic. While many expected Shayna to get the call to the main roster, WWE management had other plans. On this weeks NXT, the former champion invoked her rematch clause, and the match was made for Evolution. https://twitter.com/WWE/status/1045111690868613121 Over the past few months, Shayna has improved dramatically in the ring. She’s shown an aggressive side many hoped she would show when she first came onto the scene. With a memorable MMA-inspired gimmick, she perfects the shoot-style many dream of having. Before the Four Horsewomen of MMA unite in WWE, Shayna has some unfinished business. Will the Queen of Spades take down the Pirate Princess? Evolution takes place on October 28 at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, NY. Tickets can be purchased at the Coliseum box office or at Ticketmaster.com.
