Pro Wrestling A true “American Nightmare”: Cody Rhodes is the newest member of the Bullet Club by Daniel Yanofsky December 10, 2016 Cody Rhodes-Bullet Club (Sportskeeda) For years, the Bullet Club has held a firm grip on the professional wrestling world. With names like Finn Balor (Prince Devitt) and A.J. Styles a part of the group at one point, nobody was surprised. When those two (along with Gallows and Anderson) left, it was up to new leader Kenny Omega to keep them strong. After today, the group might have found the member they needed to push them to the moon. For weeks, Omega was teasing a new member. Earlier today, during New Japan Pro Wrestling’s World Tag Team Finals, the reveal was announced. After bashing certain members in the group for their incompetence (specifically Bone Soldier), Omega revealed a video package showcasing their latest acquisition. It was none other than the son of “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, Cody. httpss://twitter.com/njpwworld/status/807517526200438785?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Dubbed as “The American Nightmare”, the video played Cody off as a huge deal, and a game changing move for the Bullet Club. Omega later stated that phase two of the Bullet Club’s global takeover begins after today. This may be the perfect move for Cody as it goes along with him turning heel at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle PPV. He seems to work well as a bad guy, as shown by his “Dashing” and “Undashing” gimmicks. This seems to mark an end to a fantastic 2016 for Cody Rhodes (he’s working with WWE on keeping the last name, which is trademarked by them). After not feeling like he was being used to his highest potential, Rhodes left WWE and began freelancing. It became a whole new experience for him, and he has done well so far. Cody has worked for PWG, ROH, TNA, Evolve and other locations. He is currently the Global Force Wrestling NEX*GEN Champion and What Culture Pro Wrestling Internet Champion. It is all but guaranteed that Cody will make his NJPW debut at their Wrestle Kingdom 11 event at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th. With his arrival, it will be interesting to see what Bullet Club does with all of its talent. There is an assumption that some will be kicked out. With the possibility of a Kenny Omega world title win at Wrestle Kingdom, this incarnation of the Bullet Club could be the most successful one yet. All Rhodes have led to the Bullet Club. Cody Rhodes’ 2016 has been great to follow. His 2017 should be “too sweet”. httpss://twitter.com/CodyRhodes/status/807519400693796864?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Post Views: 2,198 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Daniel Yanofsky Baseball Editor, Misc.
