Pro Wrestling A true (r)evolution: WWE’s first all-women’s PPV announced, dubbed “Evolution” History will be made once again as the women take over the Nassau Coliseum by Daniel Yanofsky July 24, 2018 One of the most important events in WWE history will officially be taking place at NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum on October 28. A once speculated all-women’s show is becoming a reality. Vince McMahon opened up Raw and brought out Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. After praising the women’s roster, the latter made the official announcement. It was an event first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, and as time went on, speculated everywhere else. Over 50 women from the past and present will be competing on the Long Island card, including Ronda Rousey, Lita and Trish Stratus. The event will be called Evolution. History is made! @StephMcMahon has announced on #RAW that the first-ever ALL WOMEN'S Pay-Per-View will take place on October 28th! #WWEEvolution pic.twitter.com/5tNOziwYkR — WWE (@WWE) July 24, 2018 The following matches are guaranteed to be on the card: – Raw Women’s Title match – SmackDown Live Women’s Title match – NXT Women’s Title match – U.K. Women’s Title match – The finals of the Mae Young Classic The last one may actually be the main event of the show. There is no word yet regarding a rumored women’s tag title belt, but there is time for that. After years of women not getting matches lasting more than two minutes, they have the power to have 20+ minute matches now. It is a true evolution to the women’s revolution. With past and present stars competing, the potential dream matches are endless. Trish Stratus v. Sasha Banks? Lita v. Becky Lynch? Sounds like something fans can definitely sink their teeth into. Fans are not shy to point out that Nassau Coliseum is a much smaller venue to hold important WWE events, compared to Madison Square Garden at least. In this instance, Nassau Coliseum might be the perfect start to what could eventually be a growing opportunity. Want to be a part of history? Tickets for Evolution will be available on Friday, August 24 at 10 a.m. ET. You can purchase tickets via www.ticketmaster.com, the Nassau Coliseum box office or by calling (1) 800-745-3000.
