FootballAFC Wild Card Preview: Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee Titans by Stephen Ur January 5, 2018 The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans in the first AFC Wild Card game. The game will be played tomorrow at 4:20 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on ESPN.AFC Wild Card Preview: Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee TitansKansas City looked like the hottest team in the league through five week and it appeared no one could stop them. They started 5-0, including a win in Foxboro over the New England Patriots on opening night. After that 5-0 start, however, Kansas City lost six of their next seven games, falling to 6-6. However, winning their final four games won them the AFC West and clinched them a home playoff spot.A big part of that was the running game. Rookie running back Kareem Hunt started hot on the season, rushing for four touchdowns in the first three games. He wouldn’t rush for another touchdown until Dec. 10, more than two months later. He’s now rushed for a touchdown in four consecutive games.Tennessee has had a disappointing season altogether. They were the favorite to win the AFC South coming in, but could have easily finished last. An injury to Deshaun Watson plagued the Houston Texans, and the Indianapolis Colts are the Indianapolis Colts. The Jacksonville Jaguars spent millions to spice up their defense, and it finally worked. That is why Jacksonville won the AFC South.Still, Marcus Mariota has had a real bad year, throwing for more interceptions than touchdowns. Heading into this game, they look like a real underdog. The key to victory for Kansas City is simple – run the ball. Their running game has either made or broken them this season, as shown by Hunt’s performances. Tennessee will need to step it up on both sides of the ball if they wish to pull off an upset in Kansas City.
