Hockey Announcement from Devils All Time Great Broduer to Stream Online Tomorrow by Staff Post October 5, 2015 EAST HANOVER, NJ – Legendary goaltender Martin Broduer will make an announcement on a live stream via the New Jersey Devils Website tomorrow afternoon at 1p.m. at the Prudential Center in Newark. Currently, the Devils site lists the stream as a ‘special announcement with Martin Broduer’, but several media sources are saying that the all time winningest goalie will have his No. 30 retired at a press conference with members of the New Jersey organization. The event will not be open to the general public, however season ticket holders will receive passes to the event through their accounts, according to NJ.com. Members expected to attend the announcement include Devils co-owner Josh Harris, Devils players and Prudential employees. Kathryn Tappen of NBC Sports will host the event. The three time Stanley Cup Champion will have his number join the rafters with defensemen Scott Stevens (no.4), Ken Daneyko (no. 3) and Scott Niedermeyer (no.27). Broduer has 113 playoff wins, five Eastern Conference Championships and nine Atlantic Division titles through his 24-year career span with the Devils. He recently joined the St. Louis Blues for a short goaltending stint in the 2014-2015 season and is currently the team’s Assistant General Manager.
