Columns Arod, Hall of Fame, and of course the NFL make the weekend trends by Judythe Ann Michelle July 27, 2015 AP Photo Hey everyone, it’s Michelle, and I seriously cannot believe it’s Monday already. This summer seems to be flying by, and here we are it’s almost August. Before we know it we’ll be hanging out watching football again, and for some those days cannot come fast enough. There’s still plenty of baseball to play though, and although the NFL did make the top trends, with their announcement of the new rules regarding how to deal game balls, for the most part it was the UFC, and MLB that topped the weekend trends. Oh and there were also lots of tweets about Hulk Hogan being ousted from the WWE, as well as, WWE-2K16. Happy Birthday to Alex Rodriquez who turns forty today, and congrats to him for making the top trends this past weekend once again. He’s there because of the three home-runs he hit this past Friday night. Yep, that’s right he hit not one, not two, but three home-runs among the Friday night lights in Minnesota. Fifth time in his career, a three home-run game. Along with Arod, the MLB had other players making the top trends this weekend, mainly because of their induction into the MLB-Hall of Fame. The 2015 Induction Ceremony included former MLB players, Pedro Martinez, as well as, Randy Johnson, Craig Biggio and John Smoltz. There are bound to be some great articles up at DoubleG, giving more details about the incredible heartfelt speeches in Cooperstown, the new rules in the NFL, as well as, the backlash in response to Hulk Hogan’s admission that eight years ago he used offensive language during a conversation. Be sure to check out the site throughout the week for updates on all these and other weekend trends.
