Hello sunshine: 35 players posted sub-par rounds in Thursday’s first round of the PGA. 25 of the 35 sub-par rounds came from the morning wave.

Stenson stays hot: The Open Champion Henrik Stenson fird a solid 3-under 67 Thursday to be in a four-way tie for fifth place, two shots in back of Walker. Stenson has now had 29 rounds in the 60s for the year, including five straight, dating back to the Open Championship (68-65-68-63-67).

No need to be hungry or thirsty: As you head out to Springfield this weekend, let’s take a look at some of the menu and beverage options for the fans: Large Coors Light, Miller Lite, or Coors Banquet Beer ($10), Blue Moon ($9), Amstel Light ($8), regular-size beers of the ones noted ($8), Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon ($10), Aquafina regular-size water ($3), large Aquafina ($7), Gatorade ($5), Pepsi products ($4); Cookie ($4), classic Cobb Salad ($11), deluxe cheeseburger ($9), chicken Caesar wrap ($9).
