MMA Bellator 207 Pre-Show LIVE results by Daniel Yanofsky October 12, 2018 Starting with Bellator 206, Bellator MMA has been on a roll. They continue their hot streak tonight (October 12) at Bellator 207, inside the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT, with the semifinals of the Heavyweight Grand Prix. The main event features Ryan Bader v. Matt Mitrione. Can Bader, the Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion, continue his hot streak? What about the young gun Tony Ferguson Jr. and “Big Coutnry” Roy Nelson? Before the main card starts tonight at 9 p.m. ET on Paramount Network, the pre-show matches will be live on the Bellator app and DAZN. There are many bouts that can surprise many. Here are the results of the pre-show fights as they come in: Pat Casey def. Kastroit Xhema via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) After a highly competitive bout from the start, it was Springfield, Massachusetts’ Casey who overcame hometown star Kastriot Xhema Alexandra Ballou (1-0) def. Lisa Blaine (2-1) via TKO (3:28 in the 3rd) In her pro debut, Bethlehem’s Alexandra Ballou went back and forth with North Haven’s Lisa Blaine. Heavy strikes were her bread and butter, showcasing her quickness as well. After a takedown, she struck Blaine with several hammer fists until the ref called for her to stop. Mike Kimbel (2-0) def. Alex Potts (1-1) via KO (six seconds into round one) Someone’s “0” had to go. Unfortunately for Alex Potts, Kimbel wanted to go home early. He hit a dreaded hammer fist right above the temple of Potts, six seconds into the start of the fight. That ties the fastest KO win in Bellator history. Mike "The Savage" Kimbel just tied the record for fastest KO in @Bellatormma history. Just 6 seconds… here's the entire fight. pic.twitter.com/qwrdeIZu8O — DAZN USA (@DAZN_USA) October 12, 2018 Sarah Click (2-2) defeated Kristi Lopez 2-1-1 via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Click was landing clean shots throughout the bout. The referee seemingly saved Lopez by the end of round one as Click was just all over her. Andre Fialho (10-1) def. Javier Torres (10-5) via majority decision (28-28, 29-28,29-28) Right from the start, Fialho controlled the bout with calculating kicks and hooks. A key highlight of the fight was the referee encouraging the fight to go on, even with a few eye pokes and questionable moves. This fast-paced bout highlighted the best of Bellator’s growing roster. Janay Harding (4-4) def. Sinead Kavanagh (5-3) via referee stoppage (5:00, round one) While Kavanagh was tough throughout the bout, Harding’s precise punches were too much for her to handle. She hit a fast and devastating elbow early in round one to create a deep cut above Kavanagh’s eye. The referee had seen enough and called the fight off after round one. Vinicius de Jesus def. Tim Caron via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) First of all, Tim Caron won song of the night with Mulan‘s “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You“, and it won’t even be close. Unfortunately, it did not win him the fight, as him and de Jesus fought in a back and forth affair. Going the distance, de Jesus continued to impress, winning his sixth fight in the cage.
