High School SportsBergen County Jamboree Quarterfinals Recap by Staff Post February 18, 2015 (2) St. Joseph 75, (10) Cresskill 46- Sean McKinless proved to be in the zone an on fire from three-point range stroking 7 out of 9 from beyond the arc and pumping in a game high 29 points as the Green Knights pummeled Cresskill 75-46 in the quarterfinals of the Bergen County Jamboree at Ramapo College.“Sean was phenomenal carrying us in the 1st half and continuing throughout the game” said St. Joseph Head Coach Michael Doherty. “We were physical today by boxing out, limiting turnovers and on offensive side shared the ball and got the ball into the right hands” added DohertySt. Joseph raced out to an early 13-0 lead in the 1st quarter only to see the Cougars go on a 6-0 run cutting the deficit down to 17-1. Matt Flood led Cresskill with 15 points. McKinless ignited a rebuttal knocking down a trio of treys including a four-point play that extended the lead to 31-14. The Green Knights salted the game away with another 13-0 burst that widened the advantage to 51-27 at the intermission break. (1) Don Bosco Prep 81, (8) Ridgewood 61- The number one seed Ironmen came out blazing in the 1st quarter opening up a 26-14 lead which grew even larger in the 2nd quarter as Don Bosco crushed Ridgewood 81-61 in the quarterfinals of the Bergen County Jamboree at Ramapo College.“I thought we came out shooting the ball phenomenally in the 1st half” said Don Bosco Prep Head Coach Kevin Diverio. “Amani was a tremendous spark off the bench” added Diverio.Brandon Anderson sparked the Ironmen in the 1st quarter with 10 points. Amanie Craddock stepped up next scoring 10 of his game high 25 points in the 2nd quarter as Don Bosco held a commanding 43-21 lead.A 15-4 run by the Maroons cut the lead down to 55-42 at the end of the 3rd quarter on a lay up at the buzzer by Brandon Kandel who led Ridgewood in scoring with 23 points. However, Don Bosco got back in gear with Craddock fast break layups and three-point shooting of Omar Mostafa who netted 18 points.
