Feature Bradford Knocked Out of Game; Will Miss 1-2 Weeks by Staff Post November 16, 2015 Sam Bradford (USATSI) Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford was knocked out of Sunday’s game against the Dolphins in the third quarter with an injured left shoulder and concussion. The Eagles announced early in the fourth quarter that X-rays were negative. He was replaced in the game by Mark Sanchez as the Eagles fell to the Dolphins 20-19. Philadelphia announced later Sunday that Bradford also was diagnosed with a concussion. Eagles coach Chip Kelly said after the game that the team was awaiting further updates on Bradford. Bradford was sacked by Miami linebacker Chris McCain and landed on his left shoulder. He walked off the field as Sanchez hurriedly warmed up. Bradford started his ninth regular-season game after missing all of 2014 and half of 2013 with two tears of his left ACL. Bradford missed 41 games during his five seasons with the St. Louis Rams. The sequence was very similar to one that happened just over a year ago for the Eagles. On Nov. 2, 2014, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles was sacked from behind in Houston and broke his left collarbone, knocking him out for the season. Sanchez replaced Foles in that game and led the Eagles to a 31-21 victory. Sanchez started the rest of the season, going 4-4 as the Eagles’ starter. Sanchez wasn’t as effective this time in relief, finishing 14 of 23 passing for 156 yards and was intercepted in the end zone, stalling a potential scoring drive. Bradford was also diagnosed with a grade 2 AC joint sprain. He is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.
