MMA Calvin Kattar will look for eleven in a row against Renato Moicano at UFC 223 Another bout between two expectational fighters has been added to the UFC’s Brooklyn event by Daniel Yanofsky February 15, 2018 Another bout has been added to UFC 223 in Brooklyn. The featherweight division will get more action on the card as Calvin Kattar will face off against Renato Moicano. Newsday was the first to report the fight. It will be a bout between two rising stars looking to battle for contention. The Massachusetts-born Kattar (18-2) has won ten fights in a row, the last one an impressive TKO victory over Shane Burgos at UFC 220. The 29-year old’s nickname, “The Boston Finisher”, is more than a gimmick . Kattar has won eight bouts via decision, whether it be unanimous or split. Kattar will look to finish Moicano (11-1-1) any way he can. If the 28-year old Brazilian has his way however, Kattar won’t have much luck on his side. Renato Moicano won six fights in a row before losing to Brian Ortega at UFC 214. Like Kattar, Moicano has won a majority of his fights via decision. It’s his submission game however, five wins via submission, that will become the ultimate factor. UFC 223 takes place on April 7th inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The main event features a Lightweight Championship bout between Tony Ferguson and challenger Khabib Nurmagomedov. The co-main event features Rose Namajunas defending her Strawweight Title against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
