College Carroo On Watch List For Top Wide Receiver Award by Staff Post July 16, 2015 Senior wide receiver Leonte Carroo added another preseason nomination as the Edison, N.J. was named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. announced Wednesday. The Biletnikoff Award is presented annually to college football’s most outstanding receiver. Carroo, who was also named to the Maxwell Award watch list, has distinguished himself as one of the top receiver’s in the country. The 6-1, 205-pound Carroo had a solid 2014 season, catching 55 passes for 1,086 yards and 10 touchdowns. WR Leonte Carroo – Mel Evans Carroo was named to the Big-Ten first team by the media, ESPN.com, Phil Steele, and BTN. The teams Offensive MVP came down with a deep ball pass on the first play of the first game at Washington State for a touchdown. Carroo’s 19.7 yards per catch led college football (minimum 51 catches), and also holds a streak of catching at least one pass in 20 straight games. Carroo will lead a group of wide receivers (Andre Patton, Janarion Grant, John Tsimis, and Carlton Agudosi), and help break in a new starting quarterback this fall. The Biletnikoff Award named Carroo on the watch list last year as well. The award is named after Pro Football and College Football Hall of Fame wide out Fred Biletnikoff.
