Earlier on Saturday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reported that the New York Yankees were promoting their No. 10 prospect, Tyler Wade, to the Majors.

Wade, who was promoted earlier in the season, faced some struggles at the plate, with an average of just .107 and one RBI. Despite his offensive struggles, Wade is a player that provides a great amount of flexibility for Joe Girardi’s bench. He can play multiple positions in the infield, as well as in the outfield.

The move comes after the Yankees announced that starting second baseman Starlin Castro has been placed on the 10 disabled list again due to a strained right hamstring.

Despite Wade’s failure to get anything going in his first major league stint, he has shown no sign of struggling at the plate while being back in the minors.

While Castro being out is not a happy news, Yankee fans have a lot to be excited about. The Baby Bombers continue to march through the majors, with young guys like Aaron Judge leading the charge. Judge retook sole possession of the home run lead in all of MLB on Friday night after hitting a three run blast, his 31st of the season, in the Yankees 5-1 win against the Seattle Mariners.

The Yankees will wrap up their series against the Mariners on Sunday and will head back to The Bronx, where they will welcome the Cincinnati Reds for an inter-league two game series this upcoming Tuesday. This will be the start of a nine game homestand, where they will also face off against the Tampa Bay Rays and the Detroit Tigers.
