The baby bomber parade for the Yankees will continue tonight in Houston after the organization’s No. 2 prospect Clint Frazier got the call to join the team. Frazier will be the tenth Yankee to make his debut this season. The streak of rookie call-ups will reach five straight games due to the injury bug.

The Yanks have taken one blow after another this season. The outfield has been narrowed down to Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury and Aaron Judge recently. Hicks landed on the DL with an oblique injury and Dustin Fowler’s heartbreaking injury ended his season. Mason Williams was designated for assignment to make room for Fowler on the 40-man roster. Both have now been taken out of the picture and in steps Frazier.

If Frazier was to impress while on the roster, Hicks could pay the price. He may not get the playing time he has working on this season. It’s up to Frazier to prove he belongs.

Frazier has batted .257/.345/.474 with 19 doubles, 12 homers, 42 RBIs, 9 stolen bases and 37 walks in 73 games at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. MLB Pipeline’s No.17 overall prospect should make things in the Bronx more interesting with his magnetic personality and thunderous bat.

Tonight is the start of what the Yankees hope will be another bright future in pinstripes.
