College Connecticut WR Isaiah Wright Commits To Rutgers by Staff Post July 1, 2015 httpss://twitter.com/KyleFloodRU/status/616319775732539392 Wednesday, Rutgers added another member to its 2016 recruiting class – and fourth wide receiver – in Isaiah Wright. Wright, by way of Kingswood-Oxford School, is a three-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite, and the top wide receiver in the state of Connecticut. The talented athlete will add depth to the wide receiver position. The 6-2, 218-pound receiver last visited Rutgers a few weeks ago for the skills camp, and recently disclosed he could commit this week yesterday according to NJ.com. Well, he wasted no time. “I’ve been on campus a couple of times and I felt like I really fit in there,” Wright said to 247Sports.com. “I’m so comfortable at Rutgers, I feel like I already go there, so I felt it was the best fit for me. I get along great with the players.” In the Waterbury, Ct. native’s film, the wide out does a great job following his blocks on screens in addition to being a tough tackle. Wright also excels as coming off of his breaks on curl routes as well as tracking down the deep ball. Last season for the Wyverns, he compiled 1,219 all-purpose yards, including 835 receiving and 12 total touchdowns. Wright chose Rutgers over offers from the likes of Ohio State, Boston College, Maryland, and in-state UConn. Rutgers’ national recruiting ranking currently sits at No. 33 according to 247Sports.com and No. 10 in the Big Ten Conference. Wright becomes the sixteenth member of the class joining running back Trey Sneed, linebackers Solomon Manning, Elias Reynolds, Jonathan Pollock, and Rashawn Battle, offensive linemen Nick Krimin, Justin Morgan and Elijah Johnson, cornerback Damon Hayes, safety Phil Campbell III, defensive tackle Jarrod Hewitt, quarterback Anthony Russo, and receivers Taysir Mack, Ahmed Bah, and Mohamed Jabbie.
