Other Sports Curve Silence Thunder 5-1; Trenton Drops Series by Staff Post June 3, 2011 Trenton (32-21) dropped the last game of the series to Altoona (28-25) to be on the wrong end of a series since the last weekend in April. Altoona used a fifteen hit attack to secure the win against the Thunder. Thunder pitcher Ken Igawa gave up three homeruns. Corban Joseph scored the only run for the Thunder on a bases loaded walk. Joseph scored that run in the second inning after the Curve allowed a walk, base hit and hit batsmen loaded the bases. After Joseph walked tying the score at the Thunder still had bases loaded and none out but failed to bring home any runners. The Curve hit back to back homers in the fifth inning breaking the game open. The three homeruns and fifteen hits were the most allowed in a game by Thunder pitchers all season. Thunder pitcher Ken Igawa (2-2, 4.26) was tagged with the loss while 5,140 watched at Waterfront Park. Thunder Claps The Thunder open a three game set against the first place New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Waterfront Park at 7:05 pm tonight.
