Soccer Daniele De Rossi linked to New York City FC by Stefano Bentivogli May 15, 2019 The news of the day in Italy was that relating to the farewell of Daniele De Rossi from AS Roma. The historic Giallorossi midfielder announced his decision to leave AS Roma at a press conference and at the same time, however, De Rossi expressed his desire to continue playing, not yet feeling ready to take on any other role. A tough decision for De Rossi who wanted to end his career in AS Roma. Probably the club did not grant him this possibility, and so for De Rossi, world champion with Italy in 2006, the doors open for another adventure that will be out of Italy. Immediately after his press conference, the first rumors about the future of De Rossi began to circulate. The most insistent ones concern its future in the MLS. In agreement with the Italian press, Daniele De Rossi would be very fascinated by trying an experience abroad and in the MLS. Right now, two teams out of all are leading to win De Rossi. These are the Los Angeles Galaxy and New York City FC. Especially New York City FC could be De Rossi’s next team, thanks also to the experience he had at the City of his great friend and partner with the Italian national team, Andrea Pirlo. The Maestro has always been a point of reference for De Rossi and he could be decisive for his choice to play in the MLS and to do it in New York, with the shirt of the Blues. We don’t know what’s true behind these rumors, but New York City FC can be a real possibility for Daniele De Rossi. On the other hand, New York City FC will be able to count on a top level player with a unique charism. A player who could bring a new mentality, a winning mentality.
