College Darian Dailey Dismissed From Football Team by Staff Post May 29, 2015 Aristide Economopoulos | The Star-Ledger) Redshirt freshman cornerback Darian Dailey was dismissed off the team Thursday by head coach Kyle Flood. Dailey was arrested and charged on Sunday for armed robbery. Dailey, along with another male, Trazelle Johnson, displayed a pellet gun around 2 a.m. Sunday morning and stole $20 from a man on a bicycle in Sarasota, Fla according to the warrant filed by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s office and reported by NJ.com’s Dan Duggan. In response to the dismissal of Dailey and the questions around the eligibility of junior and expected starter Nadir Barnwell, Flood moved wide receiver Ruhaan Peele to cornerback. Peele played four games at the position in 2013 registering 12 tackles, a sack, and an interception. Peele missed all of last season with injury and suspension and was further down on the wide receiver depth chart this spring, clawing his way back into the rotation after a productive redshirt freshman season. Dailey was expected to play this season after redshirting a year ago, and was listed as a starter on the pre-spring depth chart.
