Another Fight of the Night contender has been added to the first ever Long Island card.

Long Island native Dennis “The Menace” Bermudez will face Team Alpha Male’s Darren “The Damage” Elkins in a three-round featherweight bout. The bout is featured on UFC on FOX 25 on July 22 at Nassau Coliseum. MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani was the first to announce the match up.

Bermudez (17-6) is coming off first round KO loss to Chan ‘The Korean Zombie” Sung Jung in February. Prior to that, “The Menace” had not lost a fight since 2015. The #10 ranked featherweight trains out of Long Island MMA in Farmingdale, NY, home also to Chris Wade, who is also featured on the card.

Elkins (23-5) earned Performance of the Night honors at UFC 209 in March. “The Damage” knocked out Mirsad Bektic with less than two minutes left in the third round. His performance is now known as one of the best comebacks in UFC history

Bermudez will be surrounded with familiar company on the Long Island card. Fellow New York natives Gian Villante and former champion Chris Weidman also have bouts on the July card. New Jersey natives Frankie Perez and Jimmie Rivera are featured on the card as well.

With plenty of up-in-coming talent in the Tri-state area, who else do you want to see on the card?
