The Captain of the pinstriped clad NY Yankees is the face of the April Issue of the popular magazine Gentlemen’s Quarterly.  Jeter is the point man for the Yankees not only because of what he has accomplished as an athlete on the field but he has a lot of other qualities that has set him apart as a leader. He is a family guy who still takes advice from his parents.  He is also known for his values, charming personality and also his great looks.

The 1996 Rookie of the Year who was the sixth overall pick in the 1992 draft continues to impress with his attention getting looks as the star next door.  This world-class athlete has the goods and the total package and has come a long way since Kalamazoo, Michigan, his hometown to New York City.  Jeter has been quoted as saying he doesn’t allow the limelight of the NY life style to affect how he performs on the field because he knows of many athletes that this has happened to.  He’s really not one who allows any type of distraction to take him out of is game.

Not only does he look good in his pin stripes but also he does in this photo shoot.  He does make simple fashion quite eye catching; a preppy look with a baseball bat, a polo top and designer jeans.  He tied the whole look with a simple pair of white sneakers.  Even his big apple prop and baseballs doesn’t seem so ordinary because they share the spotlight with him.  As an all time hit leader on the field, he is an all time-hit leader with his fashion pieces.

Jeter the athlete is a role model to millions, one who is deep into community involvement.  He runs a foundation for disadvantaged youths called Turn 2 Foundation.  He also teamed up with Avon for his own men’s fragrance called, “Driven,” which already has raved reviews.  So he’s not just a baseball icon but he’s fast becoming a fashion icon, if he isn’t already.
