The New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center will prepare to drop the puck on the 2015-2016 National Hockey League Season with a red carpet ceremony and new three dimensional projection show on Friday October 9.

The opening night festivities will begin at 4:00 PM in Championship Plaza with live music and interactive games. The fans will also get the opportunity to see the players, coaches and team alumni arrive on the Devils Red Carpet.

The Red Carpet Ceremony is scheduled to run between 4:15 and 4:45 PM. The players will be dropped off on the corner of Mulberry Street and Edison Place, to make their way down the red carpet through Championship Plaza.

The fans are being asked to be in their seats by 7:00 PM for the pregame festivities, which will feature the 3-D Projection Show with live performances by the West Powelton Steppers Drill Team and Drumline, as well as the New Jersey Symphony String Quartet. On the team’s website, they said that the all new 3-D show will underscore the new era of the New Jersey Devils.

The Prudential Center will also debut the new multi-million dollar investment they made towards enhancing the fan experience of the building. Some of those enhancements include the extensive renovations to the clubs, new theater style loge boxes, new concourse bars and expanded concessions options.

Prudential Center and New Jersey Devils President, Hugh Weber said, “We take great pride in our commitment to creating a world class experience for our fans.” He added, “The hundreds of enhancements we made this offseason, as well as the increased engagement with our players, are a result of the open dialogue with our fan base. Which we look forward to continuing for many years to come”

The organization said the completely renovated Fire and Ice Lounges, now known as the East and West Clubs, creates a first class, all-inclusive experience for club seat holders. Its open concept design features new tables and lounge areas and a new buffet with a rotation of six menu options.

Prudential Center’s exclusive Platinum Lounge, offers ticket holders access to the clubs’ buffet which includes new specialty items such as alligator, wild boar and duck sausages paired with craft mustards. The organization also mentioned that the restaurant and bar on Suite level one, will offer a lite bite menu.

Completing the premium lineup is the theater style loge boxes that help provide a more intimate setting for client hospitality or intimate night out with friends and family.

Following last season’s launch of the first farm to fan culinary concept at an arena, concessions partner Legends elevated the variety of food and beverage options for the fans. World renowned chef, David Burke, extended his offerings to the main concourse, with a new location, “Handwich Shop,” which features mini sandwiches, sides and desserts.

The “Chicken Coop” is a fan inspired concept located on the main concourse featuring chicken options. The Jersey Grind, will offer the “Jersey Burger” topped with Taylor Ham and a fried egg.

New partner Goya Foods was brought on board to help the organization provide an authentic Latin flavor to the menus, including the Ironbound stand located on the upper concourse and the new Goya Street Taco Stand on the main course.

Over the summer the Devils sent season ticket and flex plan holders a membership card which entitles them to access to a different benefits around the arena.

Some of those benefits include discounts on apparel and access to a members lounge located in the restaurant. Members also save time when entering the building with new member entrances.

The organization moved the children’s Little Devils Zone to the Celebrating New Jersey Hockey corridor across from Section 18. The new Little Devils Zone was also renovated to include new activities for the young Devils fans.

A new Devils Den Team Store has been opened near Section 7 on the main concourse as well.
