Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Sends Birthday Tequila to 101-Year-Old Grandma

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s biggest, and quite possibly eldest, fan received a very special birthday gift over the weekend.

101-year-old Grandma Grover celebrated her big day with some Teremana Tequila, courtesy of the Rock, who is the founder of the liquor brand. Johnson shared a picture of Grover, smiling from ear to ear, on Instagram in which she’s seated holding two Teremana bottles and a birthday card written from the Rock himself.

“HAPPY BEAUTIFUL 101 BIRTHDAY to Grandma Grover!” he writes in the caption. The Rock continues, “Good to see you received my gift of @teremana bottles and the card I wrote you! Remember to SIP the Mana, grandma and it’s not time to do shots. Happiest of birthdays- what an amazing and blessed life. Enjoy your mana Marie! DJ [black heart emoji] #grandmagettinghergrooveback.”

PEOPLE magazine states that Johnson and Grover first met in 2019 through the Managing Director of Incite Global Jamie Klinger. Grover is reportedly the grandmother of Klinger’s best friend. At the time, Klinger asked Johnson to wish Grover a happy 100th birthday and he did just that with a video message singing Happy Birthday to the lucky woman.
