Football Eagles have “Perfect Plan” for 2015 by Stephen Ur July 5, 2015 from: YahoosportsZach Ertz The Eagles don’t have a starting quarterback just yet, but it looks like Sam Bradford will be suiting up Week. While the NFL season officially begins on September 10th when the New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers, Eagles TE Zach Ertiz told NFL Network that he already saw big plans for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015. “We want to win each and every game. We go out there and that’s the goal. 16-0 for us right now,” Ertz said on a phone interview with NFL Network. Ertz caught 68 passes last season, and is currently dating USWNT defender Julie Johnston. He will be in attendance when the U.S women take on Japan in the Women’s World Cup final this Sunday in Vancouver. As for the Eagles, 16-0 will not be an easy road, as it not an easy road for any NFL team that wants to finish the season 16-0. Only one team has done that – the 2007 New England Patriots – and they could not join the 1972 Dolphins as the only two teams to complete a perfect season, falling to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII. The road to perfection for the Eagles begins on September 14, when the Eagles face the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome on Monday Night Football, the first of the Monday Night Football doubleheader on ESPN. Other noticeable games for the Eagles include a Week 2 matchup against the defending NFC East Champs Dallas Cowboys, a Week 4 matchup against NFC rivals Washington Redskins, who eliminated the Eagles from playoff contention last season, and a Week 13 matchup against the New England Patriots in Foxborough. The Eagles were one of a few teams that almost ended the Patriots’ perfect season in 2007. The Eagles have a lot of potential in their team: acquiring MLB Kiko Alonso from the Buffalo Bills, who averaged 10 tackles/game in 2013, as well as their deep QB roster in Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow and Matt Barkley. The pursuit of perfection in Philadelphia is going to be a long road, but it will definitely be possible.
