Football Eagles Hurt New York Giants Playoff Chances, AGAIN! New York Giants fans will be rooting for a handful of teams on Sunday. Aside from their beloved Giants, they will also become big fans of the Chicago Bears for a week. Add in the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well. by Staff Post December 29, 2010 The Philadelphia Eagles entered Tuesday nights game against the Minnesota Vikings with a chance at the No. 2 seed in the NFC Playoffs. The Eagles had been battling the Chicago Bears for that coveted No. 2 seed and first round bye. After losing to a Minnesota team with a wide receiver playing quarterback, the Eagles are now locked into the No. 3 seed and Chicago is guaranteed a first round bye. What does this have to do with the Giants you might ask? Well… Chicago plays on the road against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Giants are on the road in Washington against the Redskins. For New York to make the playoffs, they need to combine a win of their own with a Chicago win over Green Bay. If Green Bay wins, the Giants are out. The Bears do have a chance at the No. 1 seed but it is an unlikely scenario. Chicago would get the top overall seed if they win, and Atlanta and New Orleans both loss. Atlanta hosts Carolina while New Orleans hosts Tampa Bay. Unlikely either of those teams losses. Before the 4pm kickoff in Green Bay, Chicago will know if they have a chance to get that No. 1 seed or if they will be playing with nothing on the line. With nothing on the line, will Bears coach Lovie Smith play his starters? Smith says he will. The Giants hope he will. If Philadelphia would have won last night, the Bears and Eagles would both still be battling for the No. 2 seed. The Eagles have been a thorn in the Giants side all season. Twice this season, the Giants were on their way to defeating the Eagles before Philly put together comebacks. Of course the Giants have noone to blame but themselves, but Philly could have given some neighborly love, right? New York Giants fans will be rooting for a handful of teams on Sunday. Aside from their beloved Giants, they will also become big fans of the Chicago Bears for a week. Add in the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well. Keep in mind, if the Giants do get into the playoffs, their first round matchup will be none other than the Philadelphia Eagles. haldol uses side effects prednisone for poison ivy contagious hcl cleocin infusion rate generic abilify voucher fluoride tablets ireland drug Post Views: 1,058 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Staff Post Latest posts by Staff Post (see all) In The Zone Announces Initial Podcast Lineup - November 13, 2020 The Essential Resources You Need to Start Your Own Gym in 2020 - February 6, 2020 Wilder vs Fury II – How the second fight will be different to the first? - February 5, 2020 Early turnovers, defensive struggles plague the Scarlet Knights - January 26, 2020 Related TopicsChicago BearsFootballGreen Bay PackersLovie SmithMinnesota VikingsNew York GiantsPhiladelphia Eagles 3 Comments You must be logged in to post a comment Login Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
