Both Brooklyn schools had their fans in the stands facing each sideline, however it was Erasmus Hall that came out victorious in the championship game, defeating South Shore 34-7. The game started with Erasmus Hall winning the coin toss, but they deferred, which gave South Shore the ball to start the game. South Shore did not do much to start and was forced to punt to Erasmus Hall. Erasmus Hall capitalized on their first drive, marching their way down the field and finishing the drive with a rushing touchdown by quarterback Jordan Armstead, making it 7-0 Erasmus Hall. On the next drive, South Shore went for it on fourth down, however, they could not convert and consequently turned the ball over on downs, giving Erasmus Hall another opportunity to score, which they did, on a diving, one handed catch by wide receiver Justin Bellido. South Shore answered back with their first, and only, touchdown of the night, with a rushing touchdown by quarterback Darius Thompson. For Erasmus Hall, the offense, as well as the play of the defense, limiting South Shore to only seven points, led the way to the championship. South Shore let the penalties get the best of them as they were called for numerous penalties throughout the night, including a penalty that brought Erasmus Hall half the distance to the goal line, which led to a rushing touchdown by Erasmus Hall running back Andre Hines, his second of the night. Despite the loss, South Shore still had an impressive season, finishing 11-1 overall. This was Erasmus Hall’s first PSAL City Championship since 2012.
