Floyd Mayweather v. Conor McGregor (Bloody Elbow)

When the announcement was made that Floyd Mayweather would face Conor McGregor in a boxing match, the world only knew one thing: the press tour would be must-see. We are close to seeing these two clash, but this week it’s all about their verbal skills. The epic press tour is about to begin.

Tuesday, July 11th: The first meeting will be today at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Fans may be split between the two during this event, since both fighters have performed around the area many times. 

Wednesday, July 12th: Due to popular demand, the event was moved to the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, Canada. Don’t be surprised if there is a big pro-McGregor crowd. Canadians are very passionate, and will probably be wishing for a confrontation. At this point, if there hasn’t been one already, everyone will be surprised.  

Thursday, July 13th: Both fighters will be in a New York state of mind, as they head to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Last time McGregor was in New York was at UFC 205, and the crowd absolutely loved him. There should be no difference in reactions this time around. It’s at this point that security should be increased, for both fighters’ protection. 

Finally, the tour ends on Friday, July 14th in London’s SSE Arena in Wembley. The U.K. crowd should be 100% behind McGregor. Tension will most likely be through the roof at this point. 

The gist of the entire tour: A possible pro-McGregor crowd with a lot of controversy on the horizon. Dana White knows what to expect, as he spoke to MMA Junkie regarding the tour. He stated:

“It’s going to be a f–king s–t show. You know that. Absolute s–t show. It’s going to be crazy. I think it’s going to be a hybrid of the boxing press conferences and UFC press conferences. I think it’s going to be more like a boxing press conference than it is our press conferences. You know how mine are. No bulls–t. We walk in, and we sit down and, ‘What’s up? Who has the first question?’ and we get it rolling. I think there’s going to be a lot more bulls–t in this one.”

What a way to describe a professional event seen by millions of people. At least he is prepared for any nonsense that may / will go down. It will be very interesting to see how it is handled, considering the two sports and talent involved.
