Flyers at Avalanche Preview – Game 2 of 82

Philadelphia rides up to the mountains to challenge the Colorado Avalanche after delivering five goals past the Golden Knights Thursday night.

The Flyers are looking to improve to 2-0-0 to start the season for the first time since 2011-12. Colorado is coming off a 4-1 win against the Minnesota Wild.

As far as the lineup goes, everything remains the same up front. On the back end, Radko Gudas will watch from the press box, replaced by Christian Folin, making his Flyers debut.

Goaltender Anthony Stolarz cleared waivers and will reprt to Lehigh Valley. Calvin Pickard will backup starting goalie Brian Elliott after his great performance in Vegas.

Last season, the Flyers and Avalanche split their two game season series, with both games being decided by a single goal. Each side lost their home games against one another. Giroux scored in both contests.

In AHL news, Carter Hart will make his first professional start in goal.
