If one thing is for sure, Jacobs will be enjoying some delicious, and beautiful, meals for this camp.

In preparation for the biggest test of his professional career, Brooklyn’s Danny Jacobs has brought on fellow-NY professional boxer and former WBO champion Chris Algieri on as his nutritionist for his upcoming fight camp, according to an interview courtesy of Fite.tv.

Algieri posted a photo of Jacobs and himself kicking off the next 10-weeks of camp in Florida on Wednesday.

Weight cutting, which many fighters have felt can be harder than the actual battle, can be less of a struggle when under the correct guidance. Algieri, who is a Certified Sports Nutritionist by The International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) and a Fitness Nutrition Coach through the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA), has experience working with professional athletes and fighters, including those on the UFC and Bellator roster.

“We felt it was a good idea to bring Chris on board because of his knowledge of nutrition and because of his experience at the highest levels of the sport,” Keith Connolly, an advisor to Jacobs, told RingTV.com. “We think Chris will be a valuable addition to the team. He knows what it’s like to prepare for big fights and will also be able to help with the psychological aspects, as well.”

Not for nothing, but having meals like this made for me daily for the next 10 weeks doesn’t sound all that terrible.
