Game Four of ALCS postoned; Re-scheduled for Thursday night

For those looking to attend Game Three of the ALCS tonight at Yankee Stadium, it’s been postponed due to a major storm coming through the area. Game Four has been re-scheduled for tomorrow night at 8:08 PM. Friday night will be Game Five.

Aaron Boone held a press conference in the meantime and added some interesting tidbits;

  • It was confirmed by Boone that Masahiro Tanaka will start Game Four and James Paxton will “most likely” start Game Five
  • Boone said Tanaka will have a long leash because of the potential for four games in four days
  • Boone hasn’t spoken with Giancarlo Stanton yet on how he’s feeling but he’s “up in the air” right now
  • Boone was impressed by Aaron Hicks and his ability to have quality at-bats even after missing two months
  • Boone described Gary Sanchez as “incredible behind the plate” and states that there was never a doubt that he would start Game Four because of his acumen with the pitching staff
  • Boone was asked about what he sees in Masahiro Tanaka and why he’s so successful in the postseason and he called Tanaka “meticulous in everything he does”
  • Boone also stated that Tanaka “takes the same approach in every outing” and commends his consistency day in and day out
