(Jim Rogash/Getty Images) The questions surrounding New York Yankees prospect, Gary Sanchez, were never about his bat. In a game that early on had the makings of another disastrous night for the Yankees, the offense pulled through late and Sanchez was in the middle of it all. On the night, Sanchez collected four hits, including his first career home run. Nathan Eovaldi started on the mound in Fenway Park but left after just one inning due to pain in his right elbow. The Yankees were forced to then use then use the bullpen, going through seven relief pitchers. The Yankees found themselves down 4-1 after six innings. In the seventh however, the offense rallied, scoring five runs to take a 6-4 lead. Didi Gregorious led off the seventh with a single, followed by a single from Sanchez. The two would later score on base hits by Austin Romine and Jacoby Ellsbury, respectively. That set the big inning in motion as the Yankees would score three more in the frame. Leading off the eighth, Sanchez took a 2-0 pitch from Red Sox reliever Junichi Tazawa and drove it over the centerfield wall for his first career home run. The solo shot added to the Yankees lead. Sanchez, DHing, would add his fourth hit of the game, a single to left field in the ninth. After the breakout performance, Sanchez is batting .321 in nine games this season. Sanchez has seen time both at DH and behind the plate.
