Pro Wrestling Goldberg returns to WWE for the first time since 2004, accepts Brock Lesnar’s challenge by Daniel Yanofsky October 18, 2016 WWE hyped up the return of Goldberg in a big way. Throughout the week, fans got to relive historic moments from his career through videos on WWE.com. Last night on Raw, “The Myth” returned to WWE for the first time in over a decade. All thanks to a video game appearance, fans in Denver were able to witness a special moment. Nostalgia ruled Raw, and for a moment everything was alright in the wrestling world. httpss://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KnehdZ3bjQ Not known for his strong promo work, Goldberg gave a very passionate speech regarding his return. He appeared to show gratitude. Back in 2004, it seemed that the passion from Goldberg was gone. Now, in 2016, I could have sworn I saw a sparkle in his eye. He mentioned that not only does he want one more swan song, but that he wants his son and wife to see him wrestle for the first time ever. Goldberg went on to deliver a message to Brock Lesnar. It was pretty simple: He wanted to face him one more time. It is assumed the match will take place at Survivor Series on November 20th in Toronto. All it took was the last sentence of his promo to hook me in: “Not only does that mean that you’re next, but most importantly it means, Brock Lesnar, you’re last!” It’s understandable that there are those that doubt that they would want to watch a 49-year old man face a part-timer in Lesnar. Last night had to feel special to many though. Reliving the glory days may not work all the time, but when done right it can deliver in a big way. Goldberg’s return did just that. I have to give kudos to WWE for once again reestablishing a relationship with a true legend. The man told a story worth rooting for, and his future (hopeful) WWE Hall of Fame montage should highlight this moment. I can’t wait to see what’s NEXT as the road to Survivor Series officially begins. httpss://twitter.com/Goldberg/status/788372100377477120 Post Views: 1,156 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Daniel Yanofsky Baseball Editor, Misc.
