They have risked their lives by working on the front lines and helping people who have contracted the virus. The New York Giants, and the rest of the NFL, have recognized the sacrifices they made and wanted to give back to four lucky health care workers. They did it as a thank you to them and to show their appreciation for the sacrifices they have made. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stated, “We hope in a small way that this initiative will inspire our country and recognize these true American heroes. This is also an opportunity to promote the importance of vaccination and appropriate health practices, including wearing a mask in public settings.” The Super Bowl will take place at The Raymond James Stadium, in Tampa, Florida. The health care workers will be able to participate in Super Bowl LV parties and other events. The frontline workers were able to get the Covid-19 vaccine in advance before heading over to Tampa Bay. This is also including the thousands of other health care workers the NFL has invited to attend.
