Henrik Lundqvist has been on the New York Rangers since the 2005-2006 season and in that time he has been a rock in net. After all of the 20 plus win seasons, awards and playoff appearances, Lundqvist has reached a special mark only a select group of other goalies have ever gotten to, 400 National Hockey League wins.

Lundqvist, having only played for the Rangers his entire career, becomes only the 12th goalie in the history of the league to reach the mark and only the third to do it with just the one team. He also finds himself in the unique and exciting position that with just a few more wins Lundqvist can jump into the top 10 for wins in NHL history as well. And all of this before his 35th birthday, meaning there is much more to come.

Even better than winning his 400th game, Lundqvist also helped backstop the Rangers to their fifth straight win and four in a row at home. It wasn’t an easy one as the Rangers had to come back down a goal in the third period but they managed to deposit three in the period including an empty netter to secure the victory.

Lundqvist, naturally, was the deserved first star of the game and the Rangers will ride their recent hot streak into Columbus on Monday night. This is a big game as the Rangers sit just outside of the top three spots in the division and only two points behind the second place Blue Jackets.
