Impact Wrestling to hold Bound for Glory PPV in NYC this October

Moving away from Orlando’s Impact Zone, Impact Wrestling is looking to take over New York in October

The rebirth of Impact Wrestling is real, folks.

During the companies Slammiversary PPV, it was announced that Impact’s premier PPV event, Bound for Glory, will take place in New York City. A date of October 14 is set for the event, and it will be housed inside the Melrose Ballroom.

This will be one of the first times Impact has invaded The Big Apple for a major PPV event. After the smashing success of Slammiversary, Impact will look to continue its momentum with championship matches, grudge encounters and more.

A few weeks ago, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling announced they would be having an event inside Madison Square Garden. MLW makes its return to New York in October as well. Impact is following the trend of wrestling companies abandoning the theory that WWE owns New York. Soon, this may become the norm. WWE may not have to truly worry about something like this for now, but they should be aware of what is happening.

Once considered the second-best promotion outside of WWE programming, Impact has gone through some ups and downs over the years. In 2018, it is pretty obvious that Impact Wrestling is alive and well.
