It has been reported by Mike Garafolo that the New York Jets have traded safety Calvin Pryor to the Cleveland Browns for former Jets linebacker Demario Davis.

Trade rumors have been running wild around Pryor ever since the Jets drafted safeties in the first two rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft. Pryor, who was drafted in the 1st round of the 2014 draft, the last before the Todd Bowles era, hasn’t had the career the Jets hoped for when they drafted him. He hasn’t been terrible but he hasn’t lived up to expectations and his coverage skills haven’t progressed enough since being drafted.

The Jets get back their former starting linebacker, Demario Davis, who didn’t have a good season for the Browns last year. The biggest question coming out of this transaction is what impact will this have on 2016 1st round pick Darron Lee? Will Davis battle Lee for a starting spot in 2017? Will this impact him at all? We’ll have to wait and see as the Jets off-season continues.
