MMAJulianna Pena vs. Valentina Shevchenko in the works for UFC 205 by Kristine Haugsjaa September 22, 2016 Photo Credit: (L) Julianna Pena – Dave Mandel/Sherdog.com (R) Valentina Shevchenko – Reinhold Matay/USA TodaySounds like there’s another Women’s Bantamweight bout in the works for UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in November, just not the match up Julianna Pena was aiming for.Rising bantamweight Valentina Shevchenko, coming off an unanimous decision victory over former champion Holy Holm in July, tweeted out Thursday afternoon, “@ufc decided to make fight between me and @VenezuelanVixen at #ufc205. I did my part and signed bout agreement. Looks like she wants to escape”.Pena is also coming off an impressive win over former title challenger Cat Zingano at UFC 200 in July. In the post-fight conference, Pena called out newly crowned champion Amanda Nunes, who had defeated former champion Miesha Tate that same night with a first round submission.Your move Pena. Go to war with Shevchenko in NYC or wait on the sidelines for the title?
