Kayla Harrison is coming to New Jersey for PFL 6

Harrison, the first U.S. gold medal winner in judo, will make her much-awaited return to the octagon

It is crazy to think an MMA fighter with a 1-0 record at age 28 is considered one of the top prospects out there. Not many fighters are Kayla Harrison. According to ESPN, the two-time Olympian will face Jozette Cotton on August 16 for PFL 6.

Harrison (1-0) has been sought after by various MMA organizations, but signed with the Professional Fighters League to make a true impact. After winning her first bout against Brittney Elkin at PFL 2, Harrison will compete at the Ocean Resort Casino in New Jersey’s version of Sin City.

Cotton (8-1) is on a two-fight win streak and has competed for the likes of Bellator and Destiny Combat Sports. Her first time in a PFL octagon, “The Headbusta” will look to make a true name for herself with a win against Harrison.

What does the future hold for Harrison in the PFL? If she stays a little longer, a competition for the women. While the PFL has been providing tournaments for male fighters, Harrison is their prized jewel. By next year, we could see her at the top of the pack, one step closer to $1,000,000.

A main event has not been announced for the card yet.
