In total, 93 student-athletes garnered NJAC all-conference recognition in the sport of football in 2016. All selections were made by a vote of the league’s 10 head coaches. Junior running back Brian Matthews and junior offensive linemen Joe Bick and Justin Rodriguez each garnered second team offense honors and junior kick/punt returner Vaughn Scott earned a spot on second team special teams. Senior wide receiver LeRon Dillard, sophomore defensive lineman Peter Lejawa, and junior kicker Aryeh Moslavi each received honorable mention honors. Kean (6-4) will face SUNY Cortland (5-5) at 3 p.m. today in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Clayton Chapman Bowl at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The Cougars will be appearing in an ECAC bowl game for the seventh time in program history. Kean’s most recent appearance was last season when they topped Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 24-6, to earn their fourth bowl championship.
