Long Island native Brian Kelleher is set to make his UFC debut.

The former Ring of Combat champ with face off against Iuri Alcantara at UFC 212 on June 3. The card will take place at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“It’s been a long journey for me,” said Kelleher to MyMMANews.com. “I’ve had my ups and downs, and it’s taken a lot longer for me to make it to the UFC than perhaps others, but I never once doubted myself. I stayed focused and persistent. I want to thank CFFC and ROC for preparing me for this next step. I also want to thank my management team, SuckerPunch Entertainment, for securing this fight for me. I am also grateful for my team Maxum BJJ, and all of my friends and family.”

Kelleher, who trains out of Maxum BJJ in Bohemia, is the former bantamweight champion for Lou Neglia’s New Jersey based promotion, Ring of Combat. He is also an active competitor for Cage Fury Fighting Championship, prior to his debut.

The 30-year-old featherweight is currently on a six-fight win streak. Since making his professional debut in 2011, Kelleher has faced some of the biggest names in the Eastern region, including Julio Arce.

We wish Brian the best of luck in his UFC debut and look forward to seeing him climb the 145-pound rankings!
