Basketball Kevin Knox: the new leader of the New York Knicks by Stefano Bentivogli September 20, 2019 Kevin Knox is ready. He is about to start his second season with the New York Knicks. Having positively surprised last year, he wants to confirm himself at other levels, confessing to having worked long and hard in the summer to raise his game quality: “We are a totally different team than the one we saw last season. We’ve got some guys who know how to play hard. We are a family, we have fun even though it is a completely different team than last year. This year we know what we want.” Young Leader Knox’s words are those of a true leader looking to elevate himself and his team. It’s for this reason that Knox said he was very satisfied with the Knicks’ free agency, which brought many non-first-rate, but still interesting players like Julius Randle and R.J Barrett. The Big Apple’s franchise collected a disappointing record of 17-65, a historic worst for New York. Failing to sign any superstars during the summer, the Knicks changed their strategy in the process of trying to sign players with great potential. Total Trust There is a lot of confidence in the “new look” Knicks, a lot of which is centered on Kevin Knox. The team decided to focus on prospective players, combining them with the improving young core. Players like Dennis Smith Jr., Mitchell Robinson, and Frank Ntilikina (who recently played in the FIBA tournament) are all looking to come back better than ever. Going into next season, fans do not know what to expect. Even still, the confidence combined with this team’s potential, not to mention a great coach at the helm, will lead way to a growing team that wants to show everyone their true strength. Leading the way will be none other than Kevin Knox, who is someone fans should be very excited for.
