MMA Khabib Nurmagomedov Feels ‘Used’; Gets Called Out By Michael Johnson by Kristine Haugsjaa September 27, 2016 Photo Credit: Lowkickmma.com It’s a bad day to be a bear around Khabib, that’s for sure. For the past week, #1 UFC Lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov has been calling out UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez to sign one of the two bout agreement options for the champs first title defense, either at UFC 206 in Toronto or at the historic New York City card, UFC 205. Last night UFC President Dana White confirmed on ESPN’s Sports Center that Alvarez will be facing UFC Featherweight Conor McGregor on Nov 12th in New York, not Khabib. Ouch. Khabib reacted on Twitter late Monday night: “I have two bout agreements that bullshit champ refuses to sign. I got used the whole time to get Conor and Eddie on their knees and beg.” “Just for the record @EAlvarez and @TheNotoriousMMA fear me I’m just a man. Your time will come to get my hands on you.” White had tweeted out last week that Alvarez would be facing Nurmagomedov, not McGregor for the 155 pound gold. McGregor followed up to the claim with a tweet of his own, just two words: “beg me”. Alvarez remained silent on social media until the official news broke. Lightweight Michael Johnson, who is coming off an impressive KO win over Dustin Porier at UFC Fight Night 94 called out Nurmagomedov on Twitter following the Sports Center announcement. Nurmagomedov responded: @FollowTheMenace any time, anywhere, #205. @danawhite @ufc Adding this to an already stacked card seems unlikely, but the match up would line them up for the winner of Alvarez/McGregor.
