Eight players on active rosters had the week off as their teams’ rested up with a bye. There were however a couple former Knights that did produce for their teams. Baltimore Ravens’ running back Ray Rice is our Knight of the Week as he helped his team convert a 26-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. Rice did not get into the end zone despite carrying the ball 22 times for 83 yards. He also caught seven passes for 97 yards, including a big 34 yard reception. With the win, Baltimore improves to 6-2 on the season. Jeremy Zuttah started on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive line in their 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Tampa Bay drops to 5-3 on the year. The New York Jets pulled out a 23-20 victory in overtime over the Detroit Lions. Jamaal Westerman did not see the field for the Jets as he was listed as inactive. Rookie starting cornerback Devin McCourty made six tackles but the New England Patriots were upset by the Cleveland Browns, 34-14. New England is now tied for first place with the Jets at 6-2. The New York Giants continue to show they are one of the best teams in the NFC. This week they went into Seattle and pounded the Seahawks by a score of 41-7. Center Shaun O’Hara missed the game due to a foot injury. Long snapper Ryan Neill remains on injured reserve for the San Diego Chargers 29-23 win over the Houston Texans. San Diego will now head into next week’s bye with a 4-5 record. The Indianapolis Colts fell to 5-3 on the year after losing 26-24 to Philadelphia. Gary Brackett had an unusually quiet day, making just one tackle for the Colts. Eric Foster grabbed one tackle and a sack in the loss. In their 27-21 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, Brian Leonard caught three passes out of the Cincinnati Bengals backfield. Leonard totaled 14 yards on the pass plays. He did not get a rushing attempt. Clark Harris handled the long snapping duties for Cincinnati. Tennessee (Kenny Britt, Jason McCourty), St. Louis (Gary Gibson), Denver (Nate Jones), Jacksonville (Courtney Greene, Kevin Haslam, Tiquan Underwood), and San Francisco (Anthony Davis) were all on byes this week.
