Two things LeBron James will not be doing while in New York, staying at a Trump hotel and meeting with Phil Jackson.

The Clevland Cavaliers reportedly will not stay at the Trump hotel in New York when the team faces the Knicks on Wednesday night (Dec 7). LeBron James and the 14-player roster have all made reservations to stay at a different hotel for the time being. General manager, David Griffin says the team has been excused from staying at the planned Trump Hotel in Lower Manhattan.

This comes after Donald Trump was elected as the president of the United States. James campaigned for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and several teammates have publicly expressed their displeasure after the Republican Trump won the election.

LeBron James also made it clear, he has no intentions on meeting up with Knicks President Phil Jackson. Last month James said he lost respect for Jackson after the Knicks president referred to the player’s group of business associates as a “posse.” Asked Monday night if he would consider discussing the matter with Jackson while in town, James answered, “No.”

The 14-5 Cavs ended a three-game losing streak with a win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday, and they will look to halt the momentum of the recently surging Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday. Out of the 12 victories the Knicks have totaled, nine of those wins have come at home.

At this point, Phil needs to worry about how well the Knicks are currently playing and get a better assessment to where improvements can be made.

According to Razorgator, Cavs tickets versus the Knicks start at $152 with an average price of $701 on the resale market.  It is the most expensive game for Knicks tickets on the season, and one of the highest priced events at Madison Square Garden all year long. While the off the court intrigue continues to swell up, ticket prices continue to increase, as well.
