College Lee Leads Drexel over UNCW by Staff Post February 1, 2015 Damion Lee had another big performance with 32 points, 13 rebounds as the Dragons defeated UNCW 85-76. Drexel has won the last three games and four of their last five including over conference leaders UNCW and Northeastern. UNCW entered the game tied for first in the conference with William & Mary. Drexel had a 19 point lead with 5:30 left to play in the game. The Seahawks cut the deficit to six with 1:50 left in the game, but Drexel answered to secure their fifth conference win. The Dragons scored a season high 85 points, shooting 60% from the field, and 20 assists. Lee had his fourth 30+ game of the season and the second in a row. He finished 10-of- 14 for the night. Freshman Sammy Mojica scored a career high 17 points off the bench. Junior Tavon Allen contributed offensively with 13 points and no turnovers, but perhaps his defensive play on the Seahawks’ Freddie Jackson (13.9 ppg) stood out the most. He held Williams to just 1 point. Craig Ponder tallied 22 points to lead UNCW as Addison Spruill had 19. The Dragons take their next two games on the road facing Elon on Thursday night and Charleston on Saturday.
