Lehigh were clicking on all cylinders reaching a season-high of 349 yards and six rushing touchdowns running past Fordham 58-37, earning their way into sole possession of first place in the league with just two games left on. With the loss, Fordham falls to 5-3 overall on the year, 2-1 in the Patriot League, while Lehigh improves to 7-2 overall, 4-0 in the conference and now has the inside track to the conference title.

 The Good
Chase Edmonds rushed for 182 yards, his seventh straight 100-yard game, while Kevin Anderson threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. Lehigh did something I didn’t think was possible, they kept Edmonds out of the end zone. Edmonds’ 182 yards brings his season total to an NCAA FCS-leading 1,426 and advances his school record of career 100-yard games to 24 and his career rushing yards total to 4,912. Anderson completed 21 of 33 passes for 285 yards and the three touchdowns.

The Bad

The Mountain Hawks rolled up 632 yards of offense, including 349 on the ground. At one point in the game , the score was  51-9, late in the third quarter. Lehigh rushed for six touchdowns, with sophomore Dominick Bragalone and senior Nick Shafnisky each scoring three. Bragalone had a career-best yardage day for the second straight week, gaining 192 yards on just 15 carries. Fordham’s defense has played very well all season. This weekend, it simply got out matched.
