Baseball Meet The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase At The July 15 Somerset Patriots Game by Somerset Patriots July 9, 2018 Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced that WWE Hall of Famer “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase will appear at the ballpark on Sunday, July 15th for the team’s 5:05 pm game against the Lancaster Barnstormers. “The Million Dollar Man” will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs during the game, with tickets starting at $11.50. The Somerset Patriots will also be hosting a special Meet And Greet event with “The Million Dollar Man” in the Diamond Club for $75 that will allow fans to spend a little more time with DiBiase, take a picture, and receive one autograph item in addition to one brought in by participants of the experience. The Meet & Greet will take place in the Diamond Club on the suite level from 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm before DiBiase will be brought down on the field to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. The Diamond Club event includes food and beverages and a ticket to enjoy the game from this exclusive location. DiBiase is regarded as one the greatest villains in pro wrestling history and came to prominence in the late 1980’s in feuds with Hulk Hogan and Randy “Macho Man” Savage. He briefly held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt in 1988 after purchasing it from Andre The Giant. The title was voided by the WWE and led to a tournament to crown a new champion in Wrestlemania IV. DiBiase made it to the championship match where he was defeated by Savage. After failing to win the championship, DiBiase created the Million Dollar Championship, an unsanctioned title that featured a gold belt emblazoned with dollar signs made of diamonds. DiBiase was a successful and well-respected wrestler who held 30 championship titles over his long professional career. He was the first North American Heavyweight Champion and a three-time Tag Team Champion. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010 and continues with the WWE Legends program. Tickets for the game and exclusive Meet and Greet can be purchased by stopping by the Ticket Office located at the ballpark, by calling (908) 252-0700 or online at www.somersetpatriots.com.
