Mets Head to Washington For Important Series

The New York Mets head to Washington to play the Nationals in a very important series, after the Mets split a series with the Atlanta Braves.

The Mets are three games out of first place in the National League East and currently lead the NL Wildcard race.

The Mets recently brought former Met Jose Reyes back on a minor league deal and also optioned Michael Conforto to the minors and promoted prospect Brandon Nimmo to the Big League club.

More needs to be done before the MLB Trade Deadline to make the Mets a complete offensive team in order to fully contend for this year’s playoffs, only two weeks before the MLB All Star Break. We will continue to keep you posted on the NY Mets.

For Mets fans making the trek down, hotels in Washington DC start at just $109.  Flights to DC will be more expensive, but you can find the best deals from travel partner Hipmunk.
