I can’t imagine Tyron Woodley is happy about this.

Former UFC Welterweight champion Georges St.Pierre finally has his next opponent. GSP is set to face the current UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping. The two will face off at UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden on November 4.

Bisping made the announcement on UFC Tonight Wednesday night after receiving a phone call from White himself.

Last week UFC President Dana White said at the UFC 214 press conference that the winner of the welterweight title bout between Tyron Woodley and Damian Maia would face GSP in his return fight. After Woodley’s performance Saturday night, White retracted that statement. He then announced they would be finalizing a bout with Bisping instead.

This is the first fight announced for the promotions second visit to New York City. It is there sixth visit to New York State since it was made legal last year.

By the way, I feel like I said this a couple months ago…

So when can we get tickets?!

Tickets for UFC 217 go on sale Sept 6 through Ticketmaster. Stay tuned to Double G Sports for more information and fight bout as they are announced.
