Michael Conforto (New York Post)

Although this Mets season has been put in doubt, there has been one bright spot on the team. Michael Conforto is on a tear, especially in the leadoff spot. Every chance he can get, the 24-year old produces. His ability was on full display on Tuesday when he had a two-homer, four-RBI day vs. San Diego. All of his hard work is being rewarded with a high honor.

Topps, the leading producer of major league baseball cards, announced that Conforto would be getting his first Topps NOW card as a major leaguer. He is the third Mets player to receive the honor this year, joining Jose Reyes this past Saturday and Noah Syndergaard on April 20th.

Fans can purchase the Michael Conforto card through 3 p.m. Thursday at httpss://www.topps.com/collectibles/trading-cards/topps-now.html/ . That is right – today is the day for Mets fans to step up. You can do so by going to your nearest mall or card store to pick it up.

This is a huge honor for “CoFo”, who has a .341 average to go along with 13 home runs and 32 RBI’s. Mets fans can show their support by buying the card, and then write him into the MLB All-Star Game. The man definitely deserve’s the praise. Just imagine that a few months ago, this kid did not even have a role on the main roster. Now, Conforto is showing the team and the entire league that he belongs.

If he keeps up the pace, we may be seeing more cards and honors on the way.
